The program of the project was very specific and concise. We divided the program requirements in three modules. Two modules with the living quarters and one module for physical- and psycho-therapy. Each of the living modules had 8 rooms (7 regular and one for disabled person) gathered around a central space, that served as a dining room and as a group living room where the people with PWS can spend their time with each other, as well as with their family and friends. Each of the individual rooms had their one bathroom with shower, and a direct exit to the green garden around the object.
The gathering space was directly connected to a kitchen that prepared the meals and to the garden outside. The living module was completed with a storage room. The Therapy modul was designed to have four separate therapy rooms (fitness, creative, hydrotherapy and snoezelen - controlled multi sensory environment). In this module we also included the technical room for HVAC, and the toilets for employees and guests. Outside we designed a very pleasant and secluded place where the inhabitants can just sit and relax and enjoy the surrounding nature.
